My only grievance is that the difficulty of these questions are just slightly below what you'd find on the actual CLEP exam, and therefore the questions shouldn't be viewed as examples of what you'd see on the real thing. With that being said however, if you're able to answer all of these questions (or the vast majority of them) accurately, you're well-prepared to pass the real exam. I felt like I got a decent amount of questions that were my strong point, and I had a few lucky guesses on the day of the CLEP. I watched all 132 videos of the CLEP CHEMISTRY series on study.com. I made flashcards. I used this book last, I scored 55% on diagnostic test 1 & 2, and I scored a 68% on test 3 & 4. It covers the harder categories on the test. On the actual CLEP exam I scored a 51. Just barely passed. There were about 5 questions on the color of certain elements under certain conditions so be ready for that. I didnt get any pH color indicator questions as I saw in this book. This book has more challenging questions than on the test but the content is similar. If you can master these questions you are more than ready to pass the chem CLEP. Good luck! Both are excellent prep for the CLEP exam. Loaded with great content and solutions have many valuable pointers on how to solve problems and the book provides great information to prepare for CLEP. Great source of questions and detailed, step-by-step explanations that got me ready for testday. This book is expanded and more detailed than my friends so I decided to get the updated version. Many more explanantions which is definatetly worth the money. I was relaxed during the exam because I know that I was ready from the quesitons I practiced.
